Mountain City Sawmill

The sawmill at Mountain City, Tennessee is located in the high elevations of the Great Smoky Mountains. This area traversed by the famous Appalachian Trail is known for its high quality slow growing forests and produces some of the best quality timber in North America. The mill is fully integrated and incorporates state of the art technology including ring debarker, 3-D scanning headrig and double cut linear carriage, band re-saw, thin kerf gang saw, optimized edger, optimized grade mark scanner controlled trimmer and automatic lumber sorting system.
